TOMO Clothing creates the useful fashion of tomorrow by launching a collection approved for individual mobility
Following the success of TOMO Clothing's first collections, the young brand continues to set itself apart with functional, technical women's fashion that (re)makes clothing a tool for freedom and movement, particularly for women.
Just as in the 20th century Gabrielle Chanel and her tailor designed a pair of trousers that enabled her to ride a horse, in the 21st century TOMO Clothing has come up with a garment that enables women to move actively and freely, from morning to night, from office to restaurant, and everywhere in between.
After two years of development, the brand specialising in equipment for women on the move (cyclists, scooterists and motorcyclists in urban environments) is back with approved pieces that revolutionise the aesthetics of protective clothing. An international pre-sales campaign will take place from Monday 26 June 2023 on the KickStarter platform.
The JIM bomber & ZOE gloves, a duo for everyday journeys on two wheels
Everyday journeys around town on two wheels are often a real adventure. Traffic, bad weather, things to carry and above all - an element often left out of specialist equipment - style. To address these issues, Zoé and Céline, the two founders of TOMO Clothing, have decided to launch an approved bomber and gloves that reflect the brand's historic leitmotiv: functionality and style.
Zoé, who designed the garments, presents the JIM bomber and the ZOE protective gloves as follows: "I designed them for the challenges of your everyday life, so that they protect you and go with you wherever you go. They bring you safety, comfort and practicality, while showing a little of who you are".
MEET JIM: a bomber that combines fashion, safety and practicality
Large waterproof pockets, thumb slits and an oversized cut with an open collar: these key features of the JIM bomber blend perfectly with its look. Comfort is not forgotten either, with a notable lightness (just over 1kg), thanks in particular to the ultra-light SAS-TEC® removable protectors on the shoulders and elbows (50g) and the back (170g), certified to EN 1621-1 (level 2) and EN 1621-2 (level 1) respectively.
So you'll be safe on your motorbike, scooter or even bike, because JIM has passed the EN 17092 (level A) certification tests with flying colours at the CRITT Sport Loisirs laboratory.
Heat-sealed seams ensure waterproofness, while the two-way zip offers breathability and freedom of movement. JIM will be available in bottle-green and beige. Safety and comfort without compromising on fashion.
MEET ZOE: Gloves that combine protection and comfort
Safety and freedom of movement are the main promises of ZOE gloves. The supple leather provides a natural feel and optimum dexterity. The adjustable wrist strap offers a customised fit, while the Velcro detailing enhances flexibility and manoeuvrability, making them perfect for your commute. Available in bottle-green and beige, to match the JIM bomber, the ZOE pair of gloves will be the stylish and sophisticated accessory that enhances your outfit.
There's no compromise on safety with the ultra-light D3O® neck protectors, which are EN 13594 (level 1) certified for impact resistance.
TOMO Clothing, a brand of stylish clothing designed by cyclists, scooterists and motorcyclists
Since 2021, Zoé and Céline, both bikers and cyclists, have been offering clothing collections that can follow them through their daily lives on two wheels at 1,000 miles an hour. "When I'm riding my '70s Honda with Céline and her '60s custom bike by my side, I think of all the features that could make life easier for us in our day-to-day journeys," explains Zoé.
There's no question of putting style aside, but from the T-shirt to the parka, the equipment has to be useful above all. From the size of the pockets to the finish at the end of the sleeves, every detail is meticulously developed and tested in real life on the road.
For the JIM bomber and ZOE gloves project, the two founders have benefited from the support of a number of key partners in the industry: Lab Motoblouz, electric motorbike brand Ride Cake and equipment manufacturer Roof, for example.
